Abstract

Prayer is a mahdhah prayer that must be performed by a Muslim, as well as the elderly who are at the Klampok Brebes Social Services Home for the Elderly (RPSLU). This research aims to answer the problems: (1) What is the form of implementation of Islamic religious guidance in increasing the prayer intelligence of the elderly at RPSLU Klampok Brebes? (2) What is the analysis of the functions and objectives of BKI regarding the implementation of Islamic religious guidance in increasing prayer intelligence among the elderly at RPSLU Klampok Brebes.

This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection methods use interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis method uses the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. This research aims to describe the implementation of Islamic religious guidance in increasing prayer intelligence in terms of the function and objectives of the BKI at RPSLU Klampok Brebes and to analyze the implementation of Islamic religious guidance in increasing the prayer intelligence of the elderly at RPSLU Klampok Brebes in terms of the functions and objectives of BKI.

Research results: 1) Religious guidance carried out at RPSLU Klampok Brebes is seen from various aspects, namely: implementation time, carried out every Tuesday and Thursday, the Islamic religious guidance supervisor consists of two supervisors; the target of Islamic religious guidance is the elderly who are still actively communicating; The method used is the awareness method and the exemplary method; The material presented by the supervisor to the elderly is material about mahdhah worship and material about daily life. Analysis of the implementation of Islamic religious guidance in increasing the elderly's mahdhah worship at RPSLU Klampok Brebes shows that 3 out of 5 elderly who were used as objects of observation admitted that they had become more active and 2 out of 5 elderly admitted that they had not experienced an increase in mahdhah prayer after following Islamic religious guidance; 2) Analysis of the function and objectives of Islamic guidance and counseling regarding Islamic religious guidance in improving mahdhah worship, curative or treating functions so that problems that occur in the elderly in the RPSLU Klampok Brebes environment are the most appropriate function. The aim of religious guidance at RPSLU Klampok Brebes is first, to get closer to Allah so that the lives of the elderly reach the stage of surrender so that at that time the elderly have an increased religious level. Second, overcome religious problems in accordance with Islamic law so that you can always achieve happiness in life in this world and the hereafter.
